about us

the club

Reigatians AFC is open to players of all abilities. We run 6 men’s adult sides playing on  Saturday afternoons, and a veterans side playing on Sundays.

Our sides play in Reigate Priory Park, and our first team currently play at South Park FC on a new 3G pitch. After our games you'll typically find us at the Cage Bar in Reigate town centre, one of our generous sponsors, or at the club house at South Park, where we have recently started playing.

The Club is much more than 90 minutes on a Saturday. There is a tremendous spirit that exists in the Club; a spirit that makes the Club a delight to play for – win, lose or draw. The Club is well organised with a hard-working and conscientious committee and has many skilled and committed players.

If we sound like a club you would enjoy being a part of, please send us an email or a DM on Instagram!

Club History

Old Reigatians AFC was formed in 1923 to provide competitive and social football for the old boys of Reigate Grammar School. Over a century of playing this ethos continues to run through the club. Over our history we have had periods of success and some fallow times. However we remain committed to offering enjoyable, competitive football underpinned by a strong social element to the club.

The longevity of the club would not have been possible without two members of our club who sadly are no longer with us: Terry Harvey, and Roger Craddock. Terry, who passed away in 2008, would return from wherever he was stationed during national service every weekend to play, was a great champion of the club, and, despite severe ill health at times, was a highly successful Chairman. As for Roger, who passed away in 2022, it would be easier to list the things he didn't do, or the offices he didn't hold, over his years with the club. 'Tin Legs', as he was affectionately known throughout the league, joined the club in 1957, was a committee member for over 50 years and latterly our President, whose sportsmanship and commitment were the epitome of everything the club has stood for throughout its history. More importantly, to everyone who knew him, he was an inspiration and a friend.

Over 100 years have passed since our first tentative steps in 1923, and we can't wait to see what the next 100 bring.
